After 2 years and 175 flights without any problems, my Spirit Pro now rescued my Diabolo 700 the wrong direction. This means instead of rescuing upwards it rescued downwards and the heli crashed. After collecting the heli from the field, the heli still was powered and when pressing the rescue button again, the swash plate still went downwards instead of upwards.
After repowering the heli, Spirit rescued again the right direction. There is nothing reported in the Spitit log.
Before the crash I was flying flips and rainbows. Actually nothing special.
What could have been the reason and what should I do when I have repaired the heli?

I'm just sharing and not providing any answers to you question. I have had the same question posted here and on HF, using a uSpirit on both a 180CFX and Oxy 3. Excessive vibration has been mentioned in past posts about this behavior.
Sorry about the damage and cost of your large heli.
Was this event a test only or a real rescue situation? I now only test rescue from very high up to allow time to recover (hopefully).
There is some info provided by Spirit that says something to the effect that the longer the flight time, the more accumulated data is saved that could cause "down to be up".
I hope you get a better answer from Spirit as I'm also interested.

I am testing the rescue function now and then so that I quickly „find“ the button when I really need it.
It is true that I have long flight times with my Diabolo but the past two years I had no problems either.
I understand that excessive vibrations could also influence the Spirit in a negative way but the Diabolo is generally known as an extremely smooth running machine and the vibration level in the telemetry always was on a normal low level.
Actually, it would be of high value to get an idea from Tomas what could have been the reason to avoid similar problems in the future.

did you upgrade software recently? I have found when rescue goes the wrong way you have set the direction incorrectly in the gyro, and then used the reverse switches in the radio to make it go in the right direction, that's all god and works till you hit rescue, that's my experience with wrong direction. go into radio and reset it to factory default and the use software to make all changes. see if that fixes it for you

Hello,
we are very sorry for the troubles, but please check the page linked above. If the unit is identical and there were no crashes it is still possible that bearings are worn what is quite normal. Measuring vibration with Spectrum Analysis is much more precise so I recommend to perform this.
