Saw new update with bank switching posted. We should be able to have self level and bailout now. Anybody have an idea how to do it on dx9. I would want one switch to activate self level. But if I press my bailout (trainer switch because it's momentary) button it overrides and bails out. |

Hello, I have no access to my heli or tx at the moment, but it should work like that: 1) Assign a switch to a channel 7, to switch bank 2) In GyroSettings, add button I to the gyro set it to +60% and -60% 3) Add a mixer to channel 7, set the value to switch back to bank 0 4) add ch7 to bank channel 5) bank 0 config rescue 6) bank 1 config self level best regards dä Maik |

Hello, you can also use another, very simple method, which can be used also for 6Ch transmitters. But it could introduce some limitations, so it depends on what you are using. You can unassign Gyro gain function and assign just Bank to any unused channel. In the software you can set required gain for the bailout and stabilisation modes manually (negative gain) for Bank 1 and Bank 2. Bank 0 could be used as usually for classic flight. So that with Bank switching, you can enable bailout or stabilisation as you wish. Disadvantages are, that you can't change Gyro gain anymore from transmitter. With DX9 there are much more possibilities, so you can use full potential of it in previously described option. |

Is the above description also possible for me, or only if i use 2 Satellites instead a receiver + satellite? A Guy in Germany told me, that i have not all bank options if i use RX with Satellite. Can you confirm that i can use the same settings with RX and Sat? If it´s not a problem, what bank options are not possible with RX + Satellite config? Or is the Guy wrong and no difference between both? regards Frank |

Hello, you can use bailout and stabilisation mode with any 6CH receiver/transmitter. So it will work with AR8000 as well. There is only limitation that if you want to use receiver you can't use 7. and 8. channel. But you can still switch the bank with Tri-state switch where you can select what you want - for example bailout, rescue, normal flight. If you use directly satellites you can use all channels and assign them as you wish. Both solution will work fine, but with normal receiver it is limited to the described extent. |

Oh thats bad Yesterday I sold my brand new DX6, due to bad buy and ordered a new DX9. I will not loose the gyro gain adjustment with the RX. But if I take 2 satellites, then I can control Gyro Gain separately. Right? Can I use the channel 8 to switch between 2 or better 3 different values of the "STICK PRIORITY" (sensitivity in self-level mode)? i.e. Channel 1-5 is logically Channel 6 = Gyro Gain Channel 7 = banks 0 - 1 - 2 (Bank 1: Normal flight, Bank 2: Self Level, bank3: Rescue/bailout) Channel 8 = STICK PRIORITY (Bank1: 40%, Bank 2: 60%, bank3: 80%) Or is it not possible? Sorry, i read the manuel, but cant find my answer. i will not loose gyro gain settings via DX9. Please help me out, befor my next bad buy Spektrum is delivered ------------ THANKS a lot.....hardware sounds very good and unbelievable good service/support.....my order comming soon |

At the moment it is not possible to use Channel 8. You can have various values between banks. But it is absolutely not necessary to have all these settings. If you are rather beginner and have all these switches you can't use it when needed as your muscle memory must be very well trained. I am sure you do not need to use this at the same time during one flight. You can set the value that will fit your needs with Banks initially. The best for learning is only one flight mode and rescue available. This is possible even with your old DX6, but with transmitter that has momentary switch, it is much better. Stabilisation is rather for very basic transitions or scale flight. With any single line receiver connection (all except PWM) you can use all 7 channels and configure gyro gain in any time. But even if you are using PWM connection you do not need to set Gyro gain remotely. Spirit can fly very well with just one gyro gain and wide range of RPM so you will be fine even with 5 channel receiver/transmitter. |
