Hi,

yesterday my brand-new WIFI module arrived for my Spirit Pro and Geo-Link setup.

I mounted it on my 600 size heli and configured it in AP/Client mode like this:
- the WIFI module connects my Smartphone (Samsung S8) which Acts as a Hotspot and provides Internet
- I connect to the WIFI module using a Windows Laptop

To my big surprise, my WIFI module can´t connect to the Internet now. As the consequence, I can´t program the Geo-Link fence in the "Map" Tab of the Geo-Link using the PC Software.

This is a serious issue I did not expect. In addition, there is no "Map" functionality in the Android Software and in the Browser Software embedded in the WIFI module.

Am I doing something wrong or is the WIFI module just working as designed ? Are there any plans to provide Geo-Link Map Settings via the WIFI module ?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Best Regards, Eugen

Hi,

I could solve the main issue: The WIFI module needs to connect to the hotspot and the laptop as well. Then Internet connectivity is provided. Sorry for this.

However, the "Map" tab to set Geo-fence or Home is not available in the WIFI browser and in the Android app. On a Windows laptop it seems to work. Will this be available at some point ?

Hi,

you can program the points at the field anytime you wish.
So programming in the software is not necessary.

Unfortunately storage of whole Earth in the app is quite demanding. So this would work only with internet connection anyway. And unfortunately this is in the most cases not available.
It is likely that it will be available once good solution is found for this problem.

Thank you for your feedback.

Internet connection is available, most likely. Set up a smartphone (with Internet access) as an Access Point (AP, hotspot). Connect the Heli (WIFI Link) to the AP. Now you have Internet for reading the Maps Data inside the Android application or the Spirit WIFI web browser. Not different at all compared to the PC application.
