Hi Tomas ! In the GPS manual, it said that GPS should be mount 30 cm from magnet like canopy mount but only 8 cm from E - motor , am I missing something here since there are a lot of magnets inside a E motor. I am thinking about mounting Geo link in front of my scale fuselage where is only 18 cm from the motor. Thanks |

Seems like there is a real problem for us scale guys when mounting these. I have the same problem. I also cant see how these will work on anything smaller than a 450 considering all the mounting limitations. |

Hello, the limitations are written just to be guarantee there will be no issue. But since it is not possible to know any details about used magnets our limits are rather more strict. So very likely it can work well even if magnet is 10 cm far. It can be quite easily tested just by observing Heading angle in the Spirit Settings while moving with the magnets / or in other way. |

Thanks Tomas! Understood, I will keep it on the tail boom just have to cut out the top of fuselage and place a piece of clear plastic on top , Geo link will be right under then paint plastic to match fuselage, it should work. On my goblin 420 Geo link was 15 cm away from magnetic canopy mount and it was no good, removed magnetic mount....it is perfect now. Geo link rules. |
