Post subject:  [SOLVED] Bailout failed

Hey Guys,

I tried the spirit today in my trex 550. I tried the bailout for 2-3 times and it worked very well. But after a few tries, the bailout was up side down. As i activate it, the heli went down to earth. Wth?? Is it a bug in the System, or can i check some parameters?

Best regards.

P.s. Its the newest Software on the device.

Hello,

you should check pirouette optimization first as stated in the software and manual.
This is main reason why the rescue could fail. Pirouette optimization has to be configured properly.
If you are sure that this parameter is OK, then you can check other things.
For example if the unit is aligned to all axes precisely.

Don't worry, we are testing it for few years.

If all is correct, it will work very well.

How are you powering the unit?

Hey, i will check piroette optimization tomorrow morning. Ty

The unit is powered via 2 cables from rx. And the rx is connected via 2 power lines from an external 12/20A bec. So, i think that should be fine.

Make sure the unit:

- initialized on a flat stable surface
- Adequate power to support a huge cyclic/collective movement on all servos
- Piro Optimization is configured correctly
- Pre-flight checks are done
- The swash direction is going the right way on the bench, if not you have to go into negative values on the pitch slider for rescue.

I think pyro optimization was wrong. But since i crashed today, i have to wait till tuesday for the parts. Then i will give it another try.

Ty guys!

It was the pyro optimization.
I forget to double check it after i reverted the roll.

So, sorry guys, that was my fail!! :(
