Hi,

I successfully maidened my Trex500 with a Geolink on an old Spirit FBL unit bought in late 2014. I mounted the geolink onto the boom with two plastic brackets normally used to hold the tail servo holder and screwed them onto a stiff plastic luggage tag. I had previously tried to use a piece of carbon fibre instead of the luggage tag, but had problems getting the compass calibrated, possibly because of the carbon fibre.

Things generally worked well, but on return home the heli was climbing quite quickly. I have it set up to for RTH to be triggered by a channel. I now realise that it may be best to have Altitude Hold also triggered at the same time to avoid this.

The hard deck worked very well, and position hold also worked as expected.

I reviewed my flights in the Geolink log viewer and saved them to my PC. I am however not seeing how to view a log saved on my PC from the Spirit application.

Any help would be appreciated. Also possibly a way to export this so that someone who does not have the Spirit app could view this would be a nice to have.

Thomas, keep up the great work, I am looking forward to seeing some of the wishlist items that people have asked for, and you have said are coming, such as more Geolink functions active at the same time and an update to the mobile app to handle Geolink functionality.

Thanks again.

Hi,

thank you for kind message!

You can open saved log at the Map tab. First you have to select NO flight log in the list where you can normally see saved logs. Then click at the Open button and select the file with your log.
Then the log is accessible in the Log List - you will see [HDD] label.
So it can be viewed as any log that is in memory of GeoLink.

Hi Thomas is it possible to look at the saved logs while not connected to a Spirit FBL unit?

No, it is not possible. But later it could be possible for sure.
