The tail motor runs when I have the hold mode.

Is they’re a procedure I can have to adjust the tail motor ? Not sure when and how to have max rev and the stop slider adjustment in the limits and servo tabs.

Thanks

Hello,

first you have to set Limits/Rudder ESC - Stop and Full parameters.Stop parameter will determine when it should stop.
Also please make sure that the Throttle channel is assigned in the General/Channels. What receiver do you have?

Thanks for the help

Limits / rudder and ends point (tuning) is where I select the checkbox and try to set the full speed and the stop.

The method isn’t clear: I first use the left limit sliding bar and try to get the motor running full speed (you have a message that limit says limit too far) so I stay is a reasonable number.

Then I try to stop the motor with the right sliding bar.

Is that the right way?

I use a dsmx satellite and throttle channel is assigned

I just had à taught, in the limit tab, we usually move the gimbals around and nothing happens with the rudder movement, should I try to take hold OFF and see? The question about the throttle channel gave me this idea?

I will start by saying I will not buy another heli with a tail motor !!!

How does the adjustment work in the limit tab for rudder end point tuning ?

I move the left limit and try to get the motor to max speed around the 150 range and then go on the right and stop the motor. Is that the way to go? Then when I uncheck the box I move the rudder and it works, the heli fly’s but there is tail wag.

How can I be sure that step is donnée correctly and I get max efficiency.

The. I can use the other ajustement and change them but the basic has to be solid.

Thanks in advance

Your configuration method is perfect.

To eliminate tail wag, please set Pirouette Consistency to 130 and Rudder Delay to 0 at the beginning.
Then you can set Revomix to maybe value of 4.
It should be much better. The only thing for tuning should be to increase Pirouette Consistency until the tail will hold well and there will be no tail wag.

Ok got the electrical motor to work and left it at 150 and 126 these settings work.

But not making it wag is hard !!
I put the delay at 0
Changed Revomix to 4
And changed the gain but still wags when I pitch pump.

Pirouette at 130 and changed to 150 but still wags.

It requires patience.

Hi Pking,

I assume you are talking about your 230S here.

Does the tail move left and right at a slow frequency or just turn around 90° and will come back during hard pitch?
And you didn't have tis issue with the original AR636?
And you sill have the original electric motor and the 3-blade rotor?

Great, now you can try to set Rudder Delay to 15. Hopefully this will reduce the wag completely.

I changed the ESC for the V2 model and the tail is much better with the new model.
