Hi Tomas, the most recent spirit pro unit I have that I am using on a goblin nitro build is doing something I haven't seen on my others.
If you power up the heli without the transmitter turned on, the tail and cyclic servos will power up as normal, but the throttle servo does not get power at all. You can turn the servo by hand. It isn't until you turn the radio on, that the spirit unit sends power to the throttle servo. Then, if you turn off your transmitter and the unit goes into failsafe, the throttle servo remains powered up. This is strange because I don't see how the spirit can selectively keep power from going out of the throttle connector. I tried three servos and this behavior is the same with al.
On my 700N, the throttle servo has power even if the heli is powered up without the radio on.
Is this normal? Or is there something I should check?

Hi,
this behavior is completely normal and correct. The reason why on some other helicopter you can see throttle servo is powered immediately is, because receiver is sending throttle data from the beginning. While the most receivers do not send any data until radio is on.
So it depends on radio, receiver and possibly also configuration of both.
The servo is powered actually from the start but it will operate only when a signal is there.

Now that I think about it, I may have bound my radio without the throttle servo hooked up so maybe that has something to do with it. I'll rebind it later when I'm finishing up and see, though it's not causing any issues as is.
Thanks for the reply.
