Hi Am i correct in thinking 60% is equivalent to just above mid stick, ie 50% would be mid stick? Reason i am asking is I would like to have bailout but not shoot so high but the slider only seems to go in increments of 10 Ritchie |

Hi, 60% should be equal to 0.6x of max. configured collective pitch. 0% is equal to 0° collective pitch, but your helicopter needs at least few degrees to hover, so this is reason, why you can't set lower values then 40%. Even 50% could be not enough to hover your helicopter with low head speed. For the rescue you want higher collective pitch if it should rescue your helicopter in each situation, especially when your helicopter is falling or flying directly into ground. |

Coming from helicommand, I'm use to a much more aggressive bailout. I've gonna to 70% configured collective pitch on spirit but I still feel its a slower bailout. (cyclic ring also configured for maximum throw without bind) What do you guys set the bailout too? |

Hi. 70% means that collective pitch will be 70% of your maximum collective pitch which you configured in the Limits tab. So in case your max collective pitch is +-12° you should get 8.4° for the bailout, thats not so much. So you can increase it as you prefer, for example to 100% to get 12° for the bailout. |

I'm also coming from the BD3SX and this is my first Spirit installation. I have set my bailout to 90%. I figure that will get me pretty close to the aggressiveness of the BD3SX. Much better to have the heli shoot up quickly than to not have enough collective to keep it from hitting the ground! |

Ive got mine at 80 at the moment which is quite aggressive on a 600, how do you find it compares to the 3SX |

I had mine at 60 for a while and bumped it to 70 to test. I found 60 to be more than enough to save it in any maneuver on the X3, it just plain stops instantly. Different heli's will prob need more or less based on their disk loading and headspeeds and power though. 100% will do the trick for sure though! I believe the 3SX uses 100% all the time so it should be more aggressive if you have the spirit set to anything below 100. |

I use 80% on my helicopters, but it will differ on each one. It all depends on the blades, headspeed, motor torque, etc. You can find a helicopter where even 60% is very agressive. |
