Post subject: | [SOLVED] geometry tuning and Collective Pitch Limits? |
Hello Tomaš, in my setup for Trex 550X with a Spirit Pro I followed the Setup Wizard. After the Servo Trim Setup and after setting Zero Pitch I did the Geometry tuning, following Your manual. With the value of 6 degrees cyclic pitch my value in the setup was 88. After that I ,made setting of collective pitch limits with a limit of 12 degrees (this is recommended in the Trex 550X manual). After that I controlled the before setted value of geometry tuning. But now I have with the value of 88 only 5.4 degrees of cyclic pitch. My only question is now, wether I have to set the value of geometry tuning just one more or is the difference from 6 degrees to now 5.4 degrees a normal consequence of the setting of the collective pitch limits? With best regards Roland |

Hello, when the difference occured during setup, then it could mean that some step was not made at the time it was correct to do or some settings were not saved. Did you unplugged the unit during setup wizard? Usually the problem starts when Subtrims are not made correctly, because from 0° everything is dependent. To make the settings perfectly correct, we have written guide here: http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... tive_Pitch There should be no time, when you will set it somehow and later it is different normally. If so, then it could be caused by mentioned factors or even by a play in the mechanics/servos or imprecisions during the setup (for example one blade has different angle than other). The guide above will resolve all possible problems. Collective Pitch limits have no influance on the Geometry 6°, so something else happened. Geometry 6° is only dependent on the servo centering that is adjusted by push rods and subtrims in the Servos tab. |

Hello Tomaš, thank‘s a lot for the quick reply. I just thought yesterday, I made my setup almost perfect, because the differences by the Zero Pitch Setting were only in the area of 0,1 degrees(I made the setting with a Soko Gauge Tool). But I will do it once more from the beginning (own mistakes are allways possible). With best regards Roland |

So this begs a follow up question. What parameters can subsequently affect the "Geometry 6° (tuning)"? Does adjusting "Cyclic Ring (tuning)" or any other parameter affect the "Geometry 6° (tuning)"? |

Only Subtrims, push rods, servo centering can affect this parameter (as described above). |

Hello Tomas, I made the whole Setup once more and was now more careful in relation to the length of the push rods. Now everything is ok. Thank You once more for your help. Best regards Roland |
