Why is there no option to orientate Spirit in the position shown in my photo, and is it possable to add it in a future update?
Horizontal 90 left or right Iguess you would call it.
The reason I ask this, is because I am changing my 470L over to a Spirit Pro, I want ESC telemetry from my HW ESC and GPS when it is released.
For this I need access to the sat ports and the only orientation that gives me this ability is to mount the Spirit on the sid eof the frame.
I really want to try and stay away from this to try and keep everything as clean as I can.

Hello,

there are few reasons:
  • it was always possible to mount it in normal way.
  • the unit's CG in this position is not balanced for aileron axis which is approximately 3 times more prone to oscillations. So this can be reason for aileron oscillations and worsened performance.
  • it would add at least next 8 mounting positions which mean even more troubles for the beginners (it is already uneasy to select correct position for some).

Is'nt it possible to move the unit little bit back so that Spektrum connectors are accessible?
What is actually reason to disconnect Spektrum satellites?

Ok, fair enough.
Can't blame you for not wanting to give people the option to orientate the unit were it hampers its performance.
It isn't a really big deal, I can cut and file down the frame slightly to give me access to the side ports.
I didn't remove the the sats, I am running a Jeti receiver, but I want telemetry from my HW ESC.
Also I want to add a GPS when they come out.
