Sorry if this has been covered before, did a search and didn’t find the answer to my question. I was thinking about going with a HobbyWing V4 esc to get the telemetry data. The one thing I’m confused about is how I can get the rpm value. I currently have a Jeti DS14 with a Rex 7 receiver that is wired into my spirit unit so that I can program the spirit through my Jeti. My question is if I purchase the telem uni cable and plug it into the sat port of my spirit (my unit is a very early one I hope this works ok with a Hobbywing esc. I know this spirit won’t work with a CC esc without being modified) do I need to do anything else as far as wiring goes to get the rpm data? Do I need an external rpm sensor? I would like to use the HobbyWing governor not the spirit one for right now.
Thanks

Hello,

it will all work with Telem UNI cable and Jeti Integration. With all units.
This ESC also has external RPM output so the RPM can be obtained in two ways.

This can help:

Ok thanks. So is it also possible to hook the yellow wire from the esc to the PIT pin of the spirit unit and get the rpm value on my Jeti? Also I have my rex receiver hooked to the AIL pin for my ex buss communications, will that cause any issues when I hook up the esc to the PIT pin?
Thanks

Hi,

yes, you are right. There will be no issue - both AIL and PIT can be used at the same time. It is possible to get single pin plastic so both can be connected or disconnected separately.
If you wish we can send you this as many as you want.

Hooked it up to the pit pin and it works great. Once again great support from you. This is one of the reason I will continue to use spirit units. Thanks again.
