Post subject:  [SOLVED] FASSTest 18ch telemetry shows no ROXXY

Hi,

I've got my frsky cable and wired as online manual describe, Black and Signal on RUD port. Red to Tail pin.
Shorter wire to 7008sb Sbus2 port. Ch0 for external supply from receiver.

I don't see any ROXXY ESC in 18sz Menu.

Any advice?

KH.

Hi,

even if receiver/unit is turned off, it should show this option. So it is not dependent on your connection or setup - it must be present in any case.
You have to add it in the SENSORS menu as described in the guide.
There should be at least 10 other available sensors in the list.

Hi,

That's the problem. I can't seem to find ROXXY ESC in sensor menu items of 18sz (firmware 3.0E)

I clicked all of the 3 page items and No ROXXY ESC.

sensor type slot 8 / 16 / 24 have multiple of items including Castle TL0, Kontronik ESC, Curr. F1678, Vario-F1712 etc.

But No ROXXY ESC.

Any Advice?

KH.

Probably transmitter update will help. It is also possible that they renamed it from ROXXY to other name.

1) Well, I've checked every pre-registered items in sensor menu.

---
Temperature
Voltage
Current
rpm sensor
Altitude
GPS
Servo sensor
Temp-F1713
GPS-F1675
Vario-F1712
Vario-F1672
Curr. F1678
Kontronik ESC
Castle TL0
JetCat V10
PowerBox

None of them works.

Tried firmware version 1.2 to 3.0E (there was no "ROXXY ESC" in pre-registered item)
All the firmwares I've tested with 18sz. http://www.ripmax.com/Futaba_Upgrade.aspx?UGID=T18SZ

But it seems that 14SG has one
18sz: https://youtu.be/B0_WDpsd_Sk?t=176
14sg: https://youtu.be/85mOP9es7_c?t=48

So the manual should be updated. http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.php?title=Futaba_Telemetry

2) I've tried to register "Spirit Pro" as a sensor using SBUS2 input wire to T18SZ

Not detected.

3) I found Jlog32 had similar problem but it can ID itself as "ROXXY ESC" to 18SZ.

Any comment?

I wrote FUTABA for help, too.

Hope everything sorted out soon.

These guys also didn't seem to know 18sz was left out. https://www.flashrc.com/images/uploads/COMPARATIF%2016SZ%2014SG%2018SZ.pdf

I dont know where is the problem, but we have customers with 18MZ where ROXXY is visible and configurable with no problem.
It shouldnt be a different from SZ too much.
Are you sure you are configuring it at the first slot?

See the photo.

I'm pretty sure it's not there yet.
It's supposed to be between Current sensor and Kontronik ESC but it's not there.

14SG and 18MZ has it. (not sure 16sz)
But not 18sz...

I can confirm there is no ROXXY present in the T18SZ...
Looks like the T18SZ needs an update.

Best regards,
Alexander

As far as I have found the ROXXY ESC should be present in the older firmwares as ESC.
It is strange they have removed it just from this yet there will be also still users with these ESCs.

You can try to reset telemetry data. Maybe it will be automatically detected.
