Good afternoon! First off, I love this fbl! I first set it up with rescue/normal on the bind button and it works fantastic! Today I reconfigured to stabilization/scale on a 3 way switch on a DX7 and when I flick the switch to position 2 the tail drifted to the right slowly. I do not know if the stabilization was working as I quickly flicked back when the tail drifted. Im sure im missing something on the setup that causes this. Heli is a Trex 550 clone stretched to 600 and will eventually go in a Bell Jet Ranger fuse once I get the pod and boom flying great and the fuse painted. What caused the tail to drift? Thanks for any help/suggestions! |

Hello, if you configured Stabilisation (scale) then there is Gyro mode in the Normal (Rate). Please use Stabilisation (normal) and then it will be OK. If you want fly with Normal gyro mode, then you have to re-adjust mechanical tail center. |

I think I understand what you are saying. When changing into Stabilization (scale) the spirit enters rate mode and no longer is in heading hold mode? If I switch to Stabilization (normal) it remains in heading hold? What are the flight characteristic differences between stabi (scale) and stabi (normal) modes? Like I said, I will be flying a scale 600 Long Ranger. I have no interest in 3d or fast flights. I intend for this heli to fly slow, low, and smooth. Which mode would you recommend? Thanks again for all your help! I have been following the development of this product since the beginning and the reason I decided to go with Spirit is because of the constant updates and new features and most importantly the superb customer service by you ZeXx! You really go out of your way to help out! Thanks!!! |

Unfortunately, links ending with ")" do not work very well in this forum, they need some manual intervention. Fixed that for you. http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.php?title=Stabilization_(Normal) http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.php?title=Stabilization_(Acro) http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.php?title=Stabilization_(Scale) |
