Post subject: | Failsafe and Subtrim questions |
Hello Tomas, I have got two little questions. First: There is not much information about Failsafe in the manual. I have wired my Spirit Pro up with a JETI REX 3 receiver in Ex Bus mode to the Spirit Pro with the throttle channel active (ESC master cable is in AUX1). So I have to set Failsafe in the transmitter (DS16) mandatory to „inactive“, isn’t it? And when the unit is initializing, then I have to put the throttle stick during this process to it’s minimum, is this true? (And the throttle servo of a nitro could be damaged in Failsafe mode, so I have to put the throttle stick here a bit higher than minimum?) And in case I want to set failsafe in the receiver, than I have to wire the ESC mandatory in the receiver and not in the unit, true? In other words: It is not possible to set Failsafe in the receiver and wire the ESC into the unit? Just that I got everything right … ---------------------------------- Second: I guess you know these video clips. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=783215 The 5th video shows the Spirit Setup Wizard which involves calibrating the Jeti transmitter channels to match the Spirit FBL unit. In the Spirit manual you are writing: "Do not use subtrim or trim functions on your transmitter for these channels.“ But in the vid the user curmudgeon uses Servo Subtrim and Servo Travel in the DIAGNOSTIC TAB for matching purposes?! He even uses Servo Travel for the channel „Gyro“ and set it to about 115%. The thing is that some of my channels do not have an exact center of 0%. And the travel is -100% to +99% for example. Should I work with Servo Subtrim at this point or not? Kind regards Chris |
