Post subject: | [SOLVED] FrSky Transmitter Setup Guides? |
Hello, I just switched from Spektrum to Frsky and I'm completely lost. I don't even know how to setup channels and other basic things. I used Spektrum for many years and didn't have a single problem setting up everything. Are there any transmitter guides for Frsky available? Or maybe someone could be so kind and send me his model setup so I could upload it to my radio and go from there. Currently I have a Taranis Q X7 untily my local hobby shop doesn't get the Horus x12s back in stock. I'm setting up my heli with the X4RSB. Many Thanks! |

Hello, first from all I recommend to install the Companion software. You can download it from the Open-TX web page. There you can configure your radio easily (load and upload your changed radio profile). We have prepared finished profile for Taranis X9 - http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... PE_Profile, it can be used with your X7 after a minor changes. We will prepare profile for X7 so you can just load it and fly with no other configuration. |

Hello, thank you very much ZeXx86! Will download the profile and upload it to my radio and go from there. This should help quite a bit. And when the X7 profile is ready, please let me know. Thanks! |

Hi, I looks like, I will have to wait for you to prepare the X7 profile, because I just can't get it to work. With Spektrum, it was a piece of cake... Guess I will have to learn a lot about OpenTX, before I can set up a helicopter by myself. Setting up my quads on the other hand, was a piece of cake with OpenTX. Regards! |

UFOking, I can try to help where I can. I understand OpenTX reasonably well. I use an X9D Plus instead of the X7 though. |

It takes some time to break your thinking away from the way that the main commercial radio manufacturers operate like Spektrum & Futaba. Once you do it becomes fairly easy to change things. |

Here we have profile for the Taranis Q X7: http://spirit-system.com/dl/opentx/Spirit-FBL-x7.otx You can just start the Companion software, open it and import. It is possible you will need to recalibrate the sticks. |
