What's the best way to do this? Connect both Spirit and UniSens direct to the telemetry port via Y-cable? (Does that work?) Or is it better to make the UniSens feed data to the Spirit and only connect the Spirit to the telemetry port?

I don't need the UniSens telemetry menus, just the data.

You have to use Y cable or solder it together, in other way it will not work.
All data are transmitted basically over the single wire (signal).
So the telemetry bus is shared with all devices. You will get telemetry and menus from all.

And you have to setup different emulation modes e.g. Unisens as EAM and Spirit as GAM.

Thanks.

Theoretically I only need one wire, the signal wire, right? There is already a ground between the FBL and RX.

You're right. I'm also using only signal wire between reciever and Sprit.

Okay, thanks. After a few start-ups I now have both GENERAL (Spirit) and AIR ESC (UniSens) showing up in the telemetry data menu.

But the telemetry text pages still don't work right. (Actually, they haven't for a while, but it hasn't really been an issue until now.)

Selecting "Setting & Data View" gets me the first few pages of RX settings navigable with left/right keys, then goes to the UniSens text page. After this, "right" acts like select and "left" like back, but only as far as the UniSens main page (it's impossible to get the RX pages again without restarting, and no way to get to Spirit settings).

Without the UniSens connected, it's the same behaviour (except getting to the Spirit settings instead of UniSens).

I'm using an MZ-12 with physical arrow keys and Ent/Esc, except Esc exits the telemetry menus instead of navigating them. I know the MZ-24 has the same buttons but in a different layout (I have that too but prefer the MZ-12). So I don't think the TX is the issue.

Do you know how I should be able to access the Spirit settings page and exit the UniSens/Spirit pages without closing the whole telemetry menu? Would an RX update help?

Hi,

you only have to change to a corresponding sensor. In MZ-12 you can do so by pressing left and right arrow at the same time until you will get to the correct one.
Alternatively it is possible to switch it in the Telemetry menu too.

Hi,

I didn't know about that shortcut. It brings up a selection box but doesn't do anything.

Pressing TLM then selecting SENSOR shows connected sensors but doesn't let me select/do anything there; the manual calls this page SENSOR SELECT and allows selection. I guess my TX software is outdated.

Thanks for the help.

Sensors menu will not allow you to select the sensors.
But in the main menu you can go to the telemetry (place where you see all variables).
There you can switch between sensors.

And also by pressing <- and -> at the same time will switch to the next sensor. You will see it on the screen.
