Have tried to use the SL feature today for the first time unsuccessfully. I have set Tail Gain in the software and using Banks along with - Negative values for the Gain in the appropriate Banks but saw no SL when in the relevant Bank. I also fly a BS3SX so was hoping the Spirit offered something that behaved much the same when using acro stabilization but had no joy first time out. Have rechecked all settings and they all appear to be how I assume to be set up. Using mixing , the SL Bank will be overridden by the Rescue Bank if needed. All works nicely as far as one can tell on the bench however when I switched to Bank 2 (setup for SL with -70 Gyro in software ) there was very little if any detectable effect on the machine. Can anyone think of something I could be missing. I'd really like to get it working if it is the same as the BD's SL. Great tool for learning new inverted orientations and alike. Can only imagine it works just as well if I can only get it to work at all. I require the Heli to SL in normal and inverted flight so have selected Acro SL. Any help appreciated. |

You can see in the Diagnostic tab if your TX setup / switches produce the correct commands, you can see which bank is commanded and if the Stabi function is activated or not. Best way to check. |

Note, that when Software is running, Bank Switching by transmitter is temporarily disabled, because you are switching it through the software. |

Yes that's the problem regarding checking within the Software interface. When I select the bank it says HH plus Stab. however it doesn't seem to be doing anything in flight. The banks are showing up as changing in the Diagnose page when I use the assigned switch. I have a negative (-70) setup in the Sensor page for this Bank. It really appears that all should be working. I'll go to the field and give it another shot and see if any Gremlins have since jumped ship !! |

You can just change Stabilisation mode to the Rescue - if collective will be jumping, you can be sure it is working. If not, stabilisation will not work as well. This will be visible on the bench so no need to test in flight. |

I set to rescue and programmed everything then disconnected, powered up and went through each bank flipping my assigned switch to make sure it was fuctioning as it should (swash jumping), then went back into programming and just changed from rescue to the stabi in the banks I wanted it. |

I found that on a light heli like my Logo 600sx it was really obvious that self levelling was working even on the lowest setting, it was not so obvious on either of my Trex 600N or 600E as they are heavier I have turned it off on all models now as I found it was affecting forward flight too much , the Logo stopped in mid air if I centred the sticks and it was slowing my learning progression |
