Post subject:  X3 blade grip hole setting

On my X3, the blade grip has 3 holes for mounting the ball link. (See attached manual.)

I tried all positions and re-adjusted every time for 12,5 degrees collective and the geometry 6 setting.

This gives with geometry 6 / 12.5 collective:

inner hole: 103/145 (cyclic ring 135 = 11)
central hole: 115/167 (cyclic ring 135 = 9)
outer hole: 133/186 (cyclic ring 135 = 8)

So which position on the blade grip would be the "best"?
(I've always used the inner hole for no reason, I'll test the central hole to test if I feel any difference in the air.)

I'm tempted to say the inner hole might be better, because it gives 11 degrees on the cyclic ring for the control loop to work with.
On the other hand, the central/outer hole gives slightly better resolution...

Any thoughts on this?
(Sorry for the nerd question  )

Hello,

if you do not fly hard 3D, then central hole can be fine.
If you like very fast flips/rolls, then the only option is inner hole.

If you are undecided, I recommend to try central hole first. It can be in good balance.
