I use it the way to define a mixer on the Bank selecting switch to invert Gyro gain on desired bank. To make sure that Gyro gain is not going to negative extrems when I push my Resuce button by mistake on top, I just limit absolute Servo output value on negative side. regards, Adrian |

I have Futaba 10J with banks set up with a 3 position spring loaded switch on channel 7 Bank 0 is stabi acro so I am always flying in stabi mode Bank 1 is rescue acro so I can use rescue while flying stabi mode Bank 2 also is rescue acro in case I push the switch too far I think this is the only way to do it |

Thx for your replies. Adrian wrote: I use it the way to define a mixer on the Bank selecting switch to invert Gyro gain on desired bank. Is it even possible on my radio which is kind of old? (Futaba T7C) I'm *very* restricted with this radio in what to program. andy6409 wrote: I have Futaba 10J with banks set up with a 3 position spring loaded switch on channel 7 Bank 0 is stabi acro so I am always flying in stabi mode Bank 1 is rescue acro so I can use rescue while flying stabi mode Bank 2 also is rescue acro in case I push the switch too far I think this is the only way to do it Sounds like I want this. The question is HOW did you make this work Andy?? I can program Bank 0 with Stabilisation (Acro), HOWEVER at this point it will NOT fly in this mode. Because it's a funtion, it needs a trigger to really use it. In other words, you flip the Bank switch on your TX AND you have to activate the function with another switch. (Negative gyro on a spring loaded switch.) You say: "Bank 1 is rescue acro so I can use rescue while flying stabi mode" If I program Bank 1 for Rescue (Acro) I have to de-select Stabilisation (Acro) because it's a pull down menu. You can only select one option at a time. IMHO the way to solve this is only possible if Stabilisation (Acro) is not in the Function drop down menu. Just a check box you can enable or disable somewhere else in the Spirit Settings software. Make this check box available to change in any Bank. That way I can use my Bank switch to switch On or Off Stabilisation (Acro). Leave the Rescue (Acro) as it is. Just a function you can trigger with a spring loaded switch. |

@ZeXx86 Can you shed some light on this subject? (As a side note: Past few updates are all about radio integration for a lot of radios. I sure hope users with basic radios are not forgotten. To be honest, it feels a bit like this, considering the above problem.) |

Hi Adrian you need to have negative gyro gain in all banks , this is the "trigger " to activate the stabi mode . This way the selected mode is always active but the tail will still be in heading hold and switching banks just changes the stabi mode from self level to rescue 0 My settings are Bank 1, gyro -65, stabi acro function selected Bank 2, gyro -65, rescue acro function selected Bank 3, gyro -65, rescue acro function selected Each bank has to be programmed and saved individually, they can be checked with the bank compare feature on the backup tab to check all the settings The only way ( that I know ) to have stabi switchable without getting into the complication of mixes, i.e no stabi on bank 0, stabi on bank 1 and rescue on bank 2 would be to use banks on a none sprung switch but to use rescue you would have to physically switch it off before you get into orbit I may have misunderstood what you want to do but this way works for me |

Thx for sharing your settings! Now I see, the trick is to fly with negative gyro numbers in all banks. And yes, make sure to switch off rescue before it's out of sight. With the current Spirit Settings software and a "basic" radio the best we can do. At least I can now try to test flying in Stabilisation (Arco). Thumbs up! |

Hi, Sorry for delayed response. This configuration is very dependent on your transmitter, so one have to find what are the possibilities. What you might try is to create a flight modes for the rescue. Then this mode is activated just by the momentary switch. At the same time, you can send a fixed value to set appropriate bank (Maybe in the Governor menu or at least by a mixer) Regarding stabilisation you might assign gyro gain to normal two state switch - so that in normal flying modes, you can switch Gyro Gain by this. Same for banks. But I am not sure to what extent it is possible to assign in the T7J. With T8FG this should be possible. |

Well, I have tried but this mixing is a nightmare. If someone has an example please let me know. (Futaba T7C) On the other hand, I hope Spirit Settings software will make it easier. Don't put modes you want to fly in, in the same menu as rescue modes you put on a spring loaded switch. It doesn't make sense it's all in one "Function" drop down menu. For example make Stabilisation and Coaxial be able to combine with Rescue. Maybe a checkbox you can turn on and off, so it's easy to select flying modes using the Bank Switching feature. |
