Post subject: | RPM readout on Jeti & Auto Bailout question |
I had tacked these questions onto my other [SOLVED] thread, so figured it would be best to start a new thread to have these questions answered. 1. RPM readout on the Jeti screen continually fluctuates quickly around a specific range. Is this normal behaviour or should it stay locked on a number? This fluctuation happens in a stable hover. 2. With the Hold mode set to have 12% Throttle Curve for Auto Bailout, and the Governor Throttle Range Min value dropped down until the motor doesn't spool with TH engaged (As described in the optional Autorotation Bailout setup in Spirit manual), is there any downside that I need to be aware of with this setup? I have created a Throttle Cut switch too, so I no longer get instant spool up after an auto bailout if I've flipped the Throttle Cut switch. It returns to soft start. |

Hi, I can share my best practice on (2) Bailout. Even I finish almost every flight with an Auro, I only wanna Bailout active, when I do Auro training (like inverted Auro or first Auros after longer break). I had it the way you did, but sometime I forgot to Cut, so next Spoolup was violent, with striped gear and tip over as Heli twisted. Now I have one Switch which I call Bailout Training, this adds some throttle only on Hold to stay above 12%. Only if I enable this switch I have got Bailout, if I forget to release on Battery change, ESC won't enable. If I need to do a real Auro off field, I'm sure ESC will cut off and no be in any armed state. |
