I am still confused on how to best optimize the rudder gain in the transmitter and the Rudder Common Gain multiplier on the Spirit software. Most other FBL units just have one way of adjusting the rudder gain; usually using the transmitter where the rudder gain goes from 0 to 100%. Spirit uses the 0 to 100% gain in the transmitter, but it also uses "Rudder Common Gain" of 1.00x to 1.50x in the software. 1) How do I know when to adjust the gain in the transmitter vs adjusting the Rudder Common Gain in the software? 2) Would the combination of 75% in the transmitter and 1.00X in the software give you the same result as 50% in the transmitter and 1.50x in the software? |

You got it correctly, it's just a multiplier, nothing more, nothing less. It's just needed if you need to go over 100. Or if you prefer to see lower values because big ones scare you The gain is just a "value" which is used... the way the programmer wants, so you cannot compare different FBLs. They ended up needing to go over 100, and the easiest way to achieve that (while being backwards compatible) was adding an optional multiplier. Last one is just my guess )))) |
