Post subject:  [SOLVED] Cyclic Range

Hi folks, I,ve previously flown a Blade 200 srx and a HK450 hovering (between crashes). I now have a new Align 450se kit from 2006 that I have converted to FBL. My query is where do I change the cyclic range, in the Tx or in the spirit. I want to tone it down a bit for practicing circuits. At the moment it really can get away from me. The blade you could put in different ranges, so thats sort of what I want, without hindering the rescue functions cyclic range. Hope this makes sense, regards VB.

Leave the cyclic ring in the Spirit untouched and decrease cyclic rotation speed and/or use Dual Rate/Expo on your TX.
These Settings will not effect the rescue.

For settings of the mechanical limit there is the Cyclic Ring - Aileron / Elevator Range.
For making flip/roll rate slower/faster there is the Rotation speed in the Sensor tab.
While Cyclic Ring limit is defined rather by the helicopter itself, the Rotation speed is defined purely by your preference.

Thanks guys, I,ll limit it with the transmiter settings as I suppose the rotation does not actually limit it, just changes the speed that it gets to it limits. Found the Spirit to be a lot smoother and the tail a lot more solid than the vbar I run in the HK450. Excellent work, thank you. Also noticed the Align is a lot more nimble and lighter in the air than the HK, I suppose with the clones price is more important than material weight to them. Regards VB.

Great!

I also recommend to use Rotation speed in the unit for rough settings. Dual Rate only for fine tuning in range between 90 - 100%.

Thanks, rotation speed worked, much tamer for a beginer doing circuits, thanks :D
