Hello,

I have an Spirit Pro and additional the wifi-link module. At first the wifi-link works great - then I had made some changes like WPA2 and Networkpassword -
But then I had made an mistake, I had hidden the SSID and I haven' t wrote down the fully designation - Now I haven't any chance to acces to the wifi-link module
What can I do to reset the wifi-Link to previous ? Thanks for your help. Sorry thats my first post I hope I have made no mistakes -

Hello Mattes!

Welcome in our forum!

First from all, it would be good if you can remember what exactly you have configured before it stopped working.

Did you connected the module to your home network? If yes, then you should be able to connect there.
Do you remember exactly the SSID that was there?

Hello Tomas,

thanks for your reply. The SSID was the standard one, I haven't changed it and I have that SSID not written up. What's the name of the standard SSID ?

The first access was over the browser and made there changes to WPA2 and saved it - later I closed the browser. After that the SSID was no more visible -

Yes I was in the home network and after that change the SSID was hidden and I couln't remember the standard one (SSID), so I could not enter the SSID. The network password of the WPA2 have I written up - but not knowing SSID I have no "chance" to access the WPA2 WLAN and the Spirit -

Best regards
Matthias

Thank you for the info!

By default there is possibility to connect directly to the Wifi module - there is a network which you can search and connect. Unfortunately each module has unique SSID, but if you can't see it between networks, the AP was very likely disabled.
But what I want to ask you, if you connected the module to your home network?

Maybe the module was switched from AP+Client mode to the Client only. In this way, it is still accessible, but not from 192.168.4.1 but address that was assigned by your home network from DHCP. This mean that the module is maybe connected to your home network.
So what I want to ask you, if you have connected the module to your home network or you were connected just directly to the module all the time.

If the module is connected to your network, we will be able to connect there through assigned IP.
So then on your computer, tablet or smartphone (when you are on the same home network) you can just enter for example address: http://192.168.0.5.
If you know IP address of your computer, but you dont know how to check address of the module, we can guess the IP address from the IP range of your computer. I know that this is little bit more complicated, so if you will feel it is too hard, you can either ask for anything you will need to know or we can perform the reset.

Unfortunately the module can't be resetted by you, but we can reset it for free in our factory. Unfortunately this will require sending it to us.

Hello,

some good news - I have found the SSID in the network settings again. The password I had written down. Together with the correct SSID, I now have access to the Spirit Pro again -
Now I have what I wanted, a secure connection WPA2_PSK (Accesspoint) with a network password.
Since then I have not dealt with WLAN and therefore did not find the SSID at first - now everything is again best.
Many thanks for the help ! :)
