Hello,

can you tell me how the battery was connected?
We are testing each unit individually for prolonged time to make sure that it is OK so it should work well.

Is the LED completely OFF or it is ON all the time. It should be pulsating during initialization, then stay ON when finished.

I am using a 2s lipo. And it is hooked up like the set up wizard showed. And as i hooked the power up, the red led cam on but again, is slowly faded out. And now no led ever comes on. I had it hooked up threw the Aux port. I also tried to use an Align 15 amp esc w/bec and still no lights. There are a red and blue light that is on the USB adaptor but thats it.

So also the USB adapter was connected... what else? Only power and USB connector? Which ports you used?

Hello,

unfortunately it does not look too good. Probably unit is not operating correctly anymore. If you can send it to us, we can fix it in the same day we will receive the package. We will also find what happened.

Also I recommend to never use direct connection with battery, because it has too much of power and in case of something wrong it can cause much more damage than a BEC that has a protection.

I believe we will solve the problem very fast.

Sounds good. I will get it sent back in.

I do have a couple of questions/thoughts. In 3 separate places it says the operating voltage is 3v-15v. I used a 2s lipo. So im not sure how that would burn out something that is rated at max of 15 volts.

Also, if i can't hook up a battery directly to the unit, then im not sure how to hook it up on a nitro heli. I have a battery pack and a on off swich. So i would need to run something different?? Thanks for any help.

And yes only the usb and a battery. I was fallowing the setup wizard. My neighbor has both the spirit and the spirit pro. He is using HV servos, and one of my Heli's does and the other does not. I will be putting this in my Gaui x5. Then the pro will put in a scale 600 align. I may also buy one for my vintage Schluter Heliboy or my Schluter Champion.

Thats what i asked the question about not being able to hook up a battery directly to it. On my nitro's i run strait to reciever with no switch. Altho the Spirit has the spektrum satalite so thats why i hooked a battery strait to the unit. Hope this has answered everones question. Im pretty sure it fried out. Im jeadding to my neighbor who has been modeling for 30 years and who has extensive use of his spirit to doubble check mine.

Hello,

Spirit can be powered even with 3S lipo battery so you can use direct battery connection without any problem. Yes, it is strange. There are 3 different protections in the unit to prevent a damage even if there is a bad connection. Unfortunately without examining it, I can't tell you more.
With Nitro you can connect a battery to e.g. AUX, AUX2, CH0 - basically to any free servo connector, except SYS and ELE/PIT/AIL.
