Post subject: | [SOLVED] New satellite; channels not zero'd |
I just replaced my sat and I shut down the heli and the transmitter and took out the bind plug. I plugged the heli into the PC after turning it back on, and I noticed that my end points on the left stick were messed up. I recalibrated +/-100 for pitch and rudder which solved that problem, but when I return stick to center (0 value in transmitter), spirit centers at 3 and -13 respectively. Is there an option to zero/neutralise the channels in the unit? Thank you. |

Hello, normally rudder, aileron, elevator, pitch channels are centered automatically during initialization. I recommend to set everything regarding limits and subtrims to default in your transmitter and then just restart the unit. Is it possible that your transmitter supports subtrim settings for each flight mode separately? What satellite it is? |

But pitch does show 1 when the radio shows 0. I guess this is very minor and doesn't matter. Does this mean that everytime i start spirit, I need to have mid pitch (0) before connecting the lipo? I used to start spirit with the throttle stick down a lot of times with no issues in the past. I have the DX7 (gen 2) and I have never used sub trims because I heard you never use it for FBL units. It appears that the sub trims stay with the different flight modes. It's a normal Spektrum DSMX sat. I guess the fault isn't in the sat. |

Pitch does not 0 out automatically. I've sub trimmed that channel to get perfect 0 but not really needed. |

Nope no need. I initialise at low stick (collective) and TH. rudder, ail and elev are the ones that centre on power up. |
