Post subject: | [SOLVED] Autorotation bailout spoolup too fast |
I have a HW 100A V3 with red Spirit, firmware 2.0.0., FBL governor enabled. When I activate bailout during autorotation, motor kicks heli really hard - too fast for my taste (not good for TT gears on my TRex 500). How could I make it a little bit slower? Any settings change? |

In gov setting, there is the parameter spoolup rate, use a slower setting there. Bailout is aprox 1/3 of normal spoolup. |

You may also need to reduce your lower throttle endpoint. You can test with the blades off. Sent from my phone using Tapatalk |

I`m already on slow spoolup in governor menu. Where must I reduce lower throttle endpoint? |

Increasing Max. Head Speed value will help with the problem. You only have to decrease TC in your transmitter to make Requested RPM same again. |

As per Mr.Mel headspeed calculator: (calculated for 100% throttle curve) Hover RPM at beginning of flight: 3377 Hover RPM at middle of flight: 3110 Hover RPM at end of flight: 3002 Now I have 3000 RPM Max Head Speed in the governor menu, how much shall I add to this number? I do not want to go higher than 2700 RPM in flight. |

Use 3377 as max HS and use an 80% throttle curve. |

Shall I leave slow spoolup or change to very slow? And what Hz should I run with HW 100A V3, now I`m on 60 Hz in governor menu settings. |

Tomas tested 200Hz with no problems as he said. See below. http://www.spirit-system.com/phpBB3/vie ... 122#p12122 Just out of interest, which mode do you use? Fix wing or heli gov off? I'll get my HW 100A v3 in 3 weeks to test all the settings and for sure I use bailout from spirit to share here. |

Currently I use heli gov off, but going to try fixed wing. |
