Post subject: | Not seeing Preset differences |
I was playing with a new Spirit Pro and the V2.0.2 firmware and Windows software. I ran the Wizard choosing different Presets, "Goblin 700/770", "Goblin 630", and "T-Rex 450". In all three cases I did not see any real parameter changes from the Factory Settings, except for "Rudder delay" changed from 15 to 10. What am I doing wrong? |

Hello, when selecting preset you have to click Connect button again so that changes will apply. Each preset has 9 unique parameters such as different head geometry, cyclic gain, rudder common gain, rudder delay, pirouette consistency, etc. So these should change. Between Goblins there are not too many differences. Pirouette Consistency is probably the most important parameter as it affects rudder performance a lot. |

I am not having any success getting different Preset settings. I follow the Wizard exactly and reconnect when directed. I use a Jeti radio, so it has me reconnect a couple times since I changed the "Receiver type", but I get the same result if I use "PWM". "Rudder delay" is the only paramter that is changed. Attached is a "Wizard setup.txt" file with the steps for my test "Goblin 700" setup. I did the same for a "T-Rex 450", with only Position, Receiver and Servo differences. Attached is a "Profiles" spread sheet that shows the settings I get for the different Profliles "Factory Settings", "Goblin 700", "Goblin 700 (PWM)" and "T-Rex 450".

Hello, thank you very much! We have investigated the issue and in some cases it really does not worked correctly. Because of this, we have released fixed software 2.0.3. You can download it from our web pages. |
