Post subject:  Stabilisation mode.

I have a Spirit Pro on a Gaui X5. When I fly it in Stabilisation mode and release the aileon/elevator sticks the heli should went to horisontal. It went to horisontal, but it goes very slowly. Is there a setting where I can speed up how quick it goes to horisontal ?

Kind regards Henrik.

Hello Henrik,

yes, you can set this behavior by changing value of Direciton Control Rate parameter in the Stabi tab. Set this parameter to 0.
If it is still too slow for you, you can use Coaxial mode. This will return the helicopter immediately to the horizontal position.

STABI: SELF LEVEL ISSUE

T-REX 500 DFC - SPIRIT PRO

During the tests I found that the rate of self level with STABI NORM / ACRO depends on two parameters:

1) Stabi menu: direction control rate
2) Sensor menu - cyclic: rotation speed

tried with direction control rate - 0; cyclic rotation speed 12, when the heli is hovering, with any slip, releasing the stick at the center, quickly returns to horizontal level.

Should I start a horizontal flight, I do a quick swoop, the cyclic release, the helicopter don't returns to the horizon but continues its controlled flight into the ground as if he had forgotten the horizon.

With bavarian 3SX (in stabi mode) when performing any maneuver even in speed and releases the stick, the helicopter always returns horizontal,

I accidentally making a wrong setting or Spirit has been structured in this way than with STABI not flown back to the horizontal as the Bavarian?!?

Hello,

can you verify that the Stabilisation is activated?
You will see it in the Diagnostic tab, when you press assigned switch.

It should return to the horizontal position, but with Stabilisation it might be slower (1-3 seconds) - depending on the Direction Control Rate settings.
Maybe you are looking for Coaxial mode, which is returning much faster to the horizontal position.

Yes, stabi is enabled because in hovering, the heli return quickly to level, direction control rate is 12. The problem is p.ex. in fast forward flight if I dive the heli and than center the sticks, she not return to horizon but continue the dive.
I tried the same maneuver, with direction control rate to 0 and cyclic rotation to 14 speed and seem to regain horizon, but the heli is too sensitive: not easy to fly.

Good,

I recommend to set Stabi/Direction Control Rate to 1 - default value. This will return faster to the horizontal position and not remember inclination.
Sensor/Rotation speed not higher than 12 (usually 10 is fine for acrobatics).

Thanks
I'll try with yours setting than let you know what happen.

METEOR, you tried with 12 and then with 0 and none of them is what you want... that's why there are other 11 possible values you can try, so to find your sweet spot!

Hello,

with direction control rate - 1,2; cyclic rotation speed 10,11,12,13

I tried flying forward, backward, side nothing doing does not return to horizontal .

always and only in hovering works the stabi.

Another thing now the test is a prudent conservative with STABI NORMAL - may be some difference with STABI ACRO?. The manual do not explain about.
