Post subject:  Crashs immediatley after start

Hi serviceteam, I use spirit systems for while and I had never any problem ; but now I'm struggeling with my helicopter. It's third time - that it crashs down just after it has started. Mechanic is fine , pilot normally as well :-) therfore could it be that there is a problem with spirit system?
My System is TREX 550 V2 with flybar !
Are you able to check spirti system that it works fine ?
thanks and br.

Hi,

this is very sad.
In the most cases, the problem is caused by wrong compensations.
With version 2 this is possible only if something such as Position, Swashplate type, Servo Reverses is wrong.

So the first thing I recommend to verify is the compensation directions. Especially of the swashplate.
This must work correctly.
If not, then it will always tipover the helicopter at the lift off or even before.

To answer your question, yes, we can fully examine your unit. But I believe that the issue is rather just in the configuration, so it is worth to verify it first.

It looks wrong to me, I'd expect the servo to go down immediately to keep the swash level, and then slowly go up... looks like it's doing the other way around now, but the only certain way to check it is with the swash on.

And it's not enough to check the aileron compensation, you need to check elevator too (and tail of course).

And you better check the response to the TX inputs too...

On second thoughts, you say it's a flybar heli, I am not sure how it is supposed to work with Spirit... at least, did you check the respective flag in the Stabi tab?

Hi that's right it's a flybar system that's the point becuase it's little bit tricky because flybar has an impact on movement as well.
But I'm going to rebuild the system to flybarless now, that makes it bit easier and i will chekc everything again.
BTW - as I understand documentation - I can leave advanced and expert settings as they are delivered - of course 6° Geometry must be set.
Should I use any EXP Settings at TX ?
thanks in advance and br Siggi

It looks like the unit is in some mode, such as stabilisation.
Can you verify if it is active? (You will see HF in the Diagnostic tab instead of HL).

I highly recommend to use the Setup Wizard, when finished it is ready to fly.
In the Advanced menu, it might be needed to set Pirouette Consistency and Rudder Delay.
If you will select the helicopter profile in the wizard, it will be configured to approx. match your heli.

Hi serviceteam,
thanks for information. HF is configured.
But I think I did a configuration error - may be. Because looking at the diagnostic tab and there at the direction of move in spirit and tx - I didn't look at the percent values (now) just direction! After that I have to change Servo Reverse. After that movement of servo goes to the other direction as shown in my movie.
I guess that's it. What did you think about it?
Thanks in advance and br

Hi,

for normal flying you have to disable Stabilisation, you should see HL.

In the diagnostic tab, direction must always correspond with stick movement.
If aileron, elevator, pitch or rudder is not going in the right direction, it can't work correctly.
