So I install a mutipro governor and AR7700 SRXL on my Trex600 Nirto and they work great together. I can now switch between 3 head speeds, and it’s on the same channel as my banks on my Spirit so they all work together. Some installation tips I found during this project: Mutipro - they set there system up so you use one flight mode as a 0 – 100% throttle curve and then switch into a 3D (say 80% a crossed the graph) throttle curve for the other 2 flight modes. You cannot just put 80% a crossed the graph and release the throttle hold. I did it with no blades and it was still ugly. Multipro gov has no spool up feature, like the Spirit does. The trick I found for this, is to set all 3 throttle curves at 80% a crossed the graph, on all 3 flight modes (banks) and adjust the throttle channels speed. I set my throttle channels speed in the increasing throttle direction as slow as my DX9 will allow and it’s perfect. The multipro goes into governing at 40%, but keeping the throttle curve at 80% will help if the multipro ever fails and it goes back to throttle angel the transmitter is set to. I kept the speed of the throttle channel normal on the direction going towards idle. It spools up perfect every time and goes back to throttle hold perfect. Multipro adjusts their head speeds from a second channel, not the throttle curve like the Spirit does, so you need an aux channel. This is where the AR7700 came in. AR7700 – I installed the AR7700 and bound it. It very simply installs by installing a male to male extension (not included in the AR7700) from the RUD port on the Spirit to the SXRL port on the AR7700. Go into the Spirit software and change your receiver to SXRL and then bind the AR7700. Everything worked exactly as it did with my two DSMX satellites. I then put a male to male extension from the RPM port on the multigov to the Aux2 port on the AR7700. I then tested it by going into setup on the Multipro and it was not switching between head speeds. I figured out after a while that the DX9 has an output of -50, 0 and +50 in its flight mode channel (viewed by going into the DX9 channel output display). A normal channel outputs -100, 0 and +100 (for Spektrum). So I assigned my current fight mode switch (mine was switch B) to channel 7 and still kept switch B as my flight mode switch in system setup. Problem solved, the Spirit goes into all 3 banks, my transmitter performs all its flight mode functions and the multipro switches between head speeds nicely, all from switch B. I hope this helped anyone looking to use the multipro governor on their nitro helicopter with the Spirit Flybarlass Controller. Please feel free to ask any questions. Larry |
