My new Spirit Pro stopped working during setup :( .

This is what happened. Connected the Spirit to PC and updated to version 2.0. Disconnected power and exited program per directions. Powered up the unit and the software and began the setup wizard. All went well until I got to the step to check servo directions. During this step I received a message that the connection was unstable. Check connections and reconnect. I double checked all connections which were good but continuously got the same error when attempts to reconnect were made. Therefore I powered down the unit and exited the software to start over.

When I applied power to the Spirit it does not initialize. The LED continuously blinks rapidly and would not connect to the software. After watching the unit for about two minutes during which the blinking of the LED slows down and then speeds back up the LED turns solid. At this time I was able to connect it to the software program. However, the unit doesn't respond to inputs. Specifically on the diagnostic page moving the sticks on the transmitter does nothing.

I've tried going back to factory setting and reinstalling the version 2.0 firmware and it still is not working. I don't believe there is an issue with software program or the firmware file because I had no problems updating one of my other Spirit's (non Pro's).

Any suggestions on correcting this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I am afraid, but it looks like the unit was partially damaged in some way. Fortunately doing the update or configuration has no influance on this.

We've had similar case with a YEP ESC in connection with Spektrum satellite that is apparently sending wrong voltage pulses from time to time sporadically and the result was just the same.
Could you explain how you have connected the unit, please?

We will of course find the exact reason why it happened and fix it. But with more details from your side it will be easier.

Thank you.

The Spirit is wired for a standard receiver (PWM). The receiver used is a JR RG831B. No BEC was connected to the Spirit. Power was feed to the unit from the receiver. The receiver was powered through a 700mAh 6.6v LiFe rx pack which was being used as a buffer pack on helicopter the Spirit is getting installed on.

Let me know if you need additional information.

@ZeXx86

I received the Spirit Pro and set up was completed with no problems. Now will have to wait until it stops snowing to field test it. Thanks for all your assistance with resolving this issue.
