Hi serviceteam, I had a strange situation. My configuration is . TREX550, BC Graupner +T100 ESC; spirit system v 1.2.0; GR24 connected to Spirit system using SUMD; Optipower UltraGuard connected to GR24. Throttle value is given by channel 1 - 0, 1950 and 2150. And I did min 30 flights without any problem ! Yesterday I did some flights. At second flight motor stopped, but looking at receivers logfile voltage for receiver was fine! That's strange enough, but it becomes a little bit more strange because using rescue mode from spirit systems motor runs up and rescue process works fine. I didn't find a major trouble log at spirit system. Have you any idea what happened ? Thanks and br Siggi |

Maybe too many question marks? |

Hi, can you describe when it happened exactly? What were the last maneuvers you have performed? Very often motor is shutted down because ESC is overheating. Then there are reasons such as bad connection of the motor wires. |

Hi to all, normal flight - means flying laying eight - no 3D, no Loops or anything else. At moment of failure ESC temperature was 58 degrees above zero and maximum was 60 degrees. BEC voltage was at 5 V - looking at the log. But to follow your idea some deatails about connecting * BEC is connected to Spirit system at AUX * SUMD coming from GR24 Receiver (CH8) is connected to Spirit system at RUD * Optipower is connected to GR24 Receiver at CH11 * additional capacitor is conntected to GR24 Receiver at CH12 But - I pore over fact that spirit system's rescue system works - motor ran up , pitch works. Please don't missunderstand I'm really happy that it does because that was my chance to reduce the damage. But it brings me to the idea that throttle signal hasn't been send to ESC. thanks and br Siggi |

Hi, thank you very much for your description. If you were able to control the unit (in any way) when the motor shutted down, then the unit transmitted throttle data to the ESC for sure. Normally there is no way how unit can stop with sending the data. In case that something wrong happened in the unit then the throttle will not work anymore. Alternatively the cable to the ESC was damaged in some way during the flight (e.g. cutted by sharp frame edge). 58/60°C was quite high. For eights it is quite strange that the motor is so hot. Can you tell me what is your ESC and what motor do you have? |

Hi, it's a Pyro 600-12 and ESC Graupner +T100. It was temperature from ESC. I have no temperature from motor. br Siggi |

I am convinced that it was ESC protection that turned off the motor. Imagine you will start flying 3D. ESC can be few times hotter. So something is either not configured correctly in the ESC or the ESC is not suitable for the motor. So in each case this must be fixed, because sooner or later you will reach temperature protection. There are not too much other reasons why it might happen - if you will not see any wire damaged and all soldering joints are OK, then it was overheat protection. Has Graupner ESC any logging? |

Hi, yes T100 has logging - but only about voltage, ampere, temperature - that's all. There is no trouble logging in place as known by spirit system. Following your idea - I will talk to Graupner about this behavoir. Thanks a lot so far and br Siggi PS. I will post the reason if I get it. I hope it, because it's a strange feeling if you are not sure about setup's proper working |

Did you get a response from Graupner in the meantime ? How did you set up the T100 (is it LV oder HV) ? |

Hi , first it's LV. Graupner can't find any mistake - looking at the logs. It's still a big question. Graupner guess, without beeing sure, that receiver falls into fail safe mode. But that can't be , out of my view , because spirit's rescue system works. Therefore cnnection tx 2 rx was given. I will try it when Helicopter is repaired. In detail - bringing receiver into fail safe mode and checking what happen - of course without flying . Will receiver function for 100% after reconnect it or still in Fail Safe Mode but spirit's rescue works. I will leave a note here after test br Siggi |
