I was running a YGE ESC and regular Spirit on my Synergy E5 using the external governor and it was working great.

I recently switched the ESC to a HW 100A Platinum Pro and a Spirit Pro.

I was able to get all the settings transferred from the Spirit to the Spirit Pro and have the E5 flying without the governor enabled.

With the governor enabled, the headspeed is so low that I can't even lift off the ground.

This is what I've done so far.

1) Open Spirit software and disable Gov mode.
2) Set a linear throttle curve in the FrSky Taranis from -100 to 100.
3) Set throttle stick to high.
4) Plug in main flight pack - ESC continuously beeps
5) Set throttle stick to low - Confirmation beeps from ESC and ESC arms.
6) Unplug main flight pack.
7) Plug in main flight pack.
8) Open Spirit software and enable Gov mode.

I seem to have the full throttle range as long as the Spirit Gov is not enabled.

The E5 is running a Scorpion HKIII-4025-1100 kV motor with a 12 T pinion and 119 T main gear.

Spirit Gov settings are
Throttle range min: -100
Throttle range max: 100
Sensing Divider: 5
Gear Ratio: 9.90
Max Head Speed: 2300 RPM
Spool Up Rate: Very Slow
Governor Response: 3
Holding Performance: 3

I've tried increasing the Max throttle range under the governor settings, but it did not seem to make a difference.

What is the proper way to calibrate the throttle on both the ESC and the Spirit? Is there something else I need to do?

Okay...so I'm retarded. I went to double check everything when I got home from the field.

The very slow spool up is reaaaaaaaaaaaly slow. I must have accidentally changed it to that when I was checking the settings. I'm getting the appropriate governor response with a fast spool up.

I think the very slow spool up was so slow it didn't look like the governor was responding, but I just wasn't giving it enough time to reach the requested headspeed.
