So bought myself a new receiver - Spektrum AR7700 to get rid of the sats and use the serial connection on Spirit Pro. I have connected it to the Spirit Pro using SRXL and using the Spirit to control the ESC through the AUX 1 channel. I have assigned the throttle channel in the Spirit setup tab and can see the TC changing values int he diagnostic tab when changing the throttle position. The issue is that the ESC does not consistently arm with this setup. Most times I have to plug in and unplug the battery to the ESC 5-10 times to get it to arm. I have followed the following troubleshooting: 1. Installed 1.3.4 FW on Spirit Pro 2. Calibrated ESC end points - no change in the behaviour 3. Connected a servo to the AUX 1 (ESC) output. I noticed that the servo would not get any signal for the majority of the time. When I plugged in and unplugged the battery a few times it would initialise the servo and then the servo would respond to the throttle curve. The above leads me to believe that Spirit Pro is not consistently initialising the throttle channel with AR7700 using SRXL on 1.3.4 FW. When it does, it works very reliably but it takes a few tries to get it to work. When using PPM or sats the throttle channel initialises consistently. Any help would be much appreciated!!! |

So having worked closely with Tomas over the past week there is a fix developed that enables the ESC to consistently arm when connected to the Spirit unit with the AR7700 in SRXL mode. I have installed the latest version in my Spirit Pro and will be doing some testing over the weekend but so far it works 100% of the time. If anyone is using the AR7700 in SRXL with the ESC plugged in the Spirit unit contact Tomas to send you the latest FW. I presume the fixes will be rolled up in the new version when rolled out formally. That is what I call SUPPORT! Thank you! |

He did the same with me this past weekend when I was having occasional servo wig outs after initialization. The first firmware he sent me for some reason also disabled my throttle channel but by the next morning he had it all sorted out and tested w the new correct fw in my inbox here in the forum. AWESOME JOB! |

Do the changes affect AR9020 with SRXL as well? Having the same issue from time to time with 1.3.3. |

Here is the firmware 1.3.3 with fix for the SRXL and throttle. Version 1.3.3 with checksum d9e2705801cbdea0d3497a05ae071df1 is the latest one. With satellites there was very different problem (channels were not responding correctly after initialization), but this firmware has fix for this as well. Thanks to all who helped! http://spirit-system.com/dl/fw/spirit-fw-1.3.3.4df All settings will be untouched, so you do not have to do anything more. Both problems were present only for some pilots so you do not have to update if everything is working. |

So to confirm I need to reflash with the above FW and the fix for the SRLX for AR7700 will remain, correct? |
