From an earlier posting :

Sensing divider is 1.
I'm using a Spektrum Backplate sensor fitted on a OS105.

Yes, you are right. RPM is displayed right when Governor is engaged (above 40% TC).

Zex,
just put two flights on the helicopter and I can't control the rpms. I moved one throttle curve to 43% and the other to 55% . No change flipping between Idle up 1 or 2.

Sensor divider is 1
Gear Ratio is 1

If the governor is on, and it is as I'm getting rpm readout on the Jeti, than it seems like the flat line throttle curve one at 43% and one at 55% has no affect on the rpms. It is possible the helicopter is running at full engine speed, which isn't good for my engine, which is not yet fully broken in.

Question is why are the throttle curves ignored and where is the governor getting the instruction to run at whatever speed its running at?

Malc1,
Perhaps, but you said you're sensor is on the backplate and that you had a Gear ratio of 1. To me that's probably not right, perhaps I misread your various posts, but doesn't the engine turn over more than 1 revolution per main rotor rpm? I have no idea what it's supposed to be for your nitro motor.
Correct me please cause I thought you said you were at a Gear ratio of 1.

We both have liquid fuel so perhaps there is an issue.
Scott

Yes Spektrum backplate sensor with a Sensing Divider of 1

Gear ratio is 8.0 :1 which is correct for a TRex 700N.

Zex,
Do you think it's worth trying the Pro unit instead of the Red?

The way things are working now it seems as if throttle % that the gov is running at is some default setting then something is out of bounds. Is this possible?

Should I try a new rpm sensor? is the fact that my rpm sensor is giving me a reading evidence that this sensor is working fine?

Wish there was a diagnostic. I'm happy the gov seems to be working and holding rpm now, but since I don't have any rpm control that's still means I can't use it.

Hey Zex,
I'm going to back to the field today or tomorrow, is there nothing else I can try? or answers to my previous post?
Thanks,
Scott

Scott, any chance that you can try the Governor Response at it's lowest setting of 1 to see if it makes any different to you while you are down there?

It is hard to tell you what is wrong, but if you can see RPMs in Jeti, then governor is engaged.

What Requested RPM you can see when you open the software (in both idles)?
It looks like the servo reached its preconfigured range in Max. parameter, so it can't go higher.

It would be much better if you can open new thread where only your problem (with all the information about your helicopter) will be discussed.

At the field again to try this :?

As recommended governor response has been tried set to 1.

No difference at all.

Maximum RPM in the software is still 2000.

Requested headspeed is 1850rpm but again goes up to 1970 with a maximum of 2100 seen when pitch is added.

The head speed seen and heard on the Jeti telemetry is correct and has been verified using a SkyTach tachometer.

As mentioned previously the throttle has been set up correctly as per instructions.
