Very probably next week :)

I will upload the settings soon.
By the way, we are using 2 positive magnets - this is necessary for good operation.

Is 2 positive magnets necessary for good operation of the gov on all IC helis/engines, or is this a unique requirement of the NX4 or smaller engines? I have a 90 size nitro and use the Align sensor with two magnets in opposite directions on the clutch bell. I have never had any sensor noise logs or major problems with the gov since fw2, except for some overspeeding between hard manoeuvres. Would I definitely get better performance from the gov if I changed the magnets to be both positive or is an improvement unlikely in this case? Changing a magnet over is something I would rather avoid if possible. It's a lot of work and not something I would be willing to just try without being certain that it would be worth the effort.

Same opinion like horneteer.
I have precisely fixed magnets in the fan in my NX4 and it will be hard to get out the magnet without damage/disbalance of the fan. It most probably means to buy a new fan.
If there is a possibility to use opposite orientation of magnets, it would be very appreciated.
I would say, that 99,99% of helis with glow engines have opposite magnets orientation.

I know it is small detail but it play a big roll in case of mass upgrade/decision about Spirit GOV...

Anyway, I am very excited with the news and that the FW will come soon.

I would like to know, what was your setting for governor?
What blades did you use/test (425/435/450mm) and what fuel/nitro contains?

Thank you for your reply.

Hi,

the fuel is Bekra 20%, we are flying also Rapicon 30%.
The engine is set to be rich as we can test governor better.

Blades are Rapid FBL 425

Throttle servo is Align DS425M so it is same as yours. Rest is MKS.
Governor Response 7, holding performance 3 and it works just very well - for Bekra fuel.

Now we will test OS 55HZ-H.
We are interfacing the issue the original motor shaft is not holding well even that everything is overtighted. Hopefully upgrade parts will fix it.

Thanks to the testing we are preparing many improvements in the governor again so that it can just work even if everything is not optimal.
We have really good results.

I am sure a lot of people, like me, are following this with interest!

There is a number of IC helicopters waiting for a combination of your Stabi / Rescue and a good governor..... :D

Well, I have ordered Spektrum AR7700 receiver because of serial communication (I do not want to use satellites...) and will test the Spirit governor again. I hope that it will not be wasting of my money and time :-)...
I would like to only ask - will be there significant improvement or should I wait for next revision of FW?

My configuration will be similar to before:
- Align RPM sensor connected to spirit and TM1000 telemetry by Y cable.
- One positive and one negative magnet in the fan (almost impossible to extract the magnets).
- 435 Spinblabes RedTips
- Rapicon 30%
- Target head speed 2700

What configuration should I start with?

I use Futaba GV-1 for now and it works well (I little adjusted two parameters in hidden menu).

Video with Futaba GV-1 @ 2700 is available here:

Hello,

receiver does not play any role in governor performance, but I recommend AR7700 in any case.

In the upcoming firmware there will be major governor improvements. Personally I can't be more happy so it can be worth to wait.
