problem is definitely in the sp
just connected my std spirit and it connects straight away
does ask for unit to be updated but says connected and gives serial#
is there a way of rebooting the unit to factory settings so we can start again

I have just tried using my Apple Mac
still the same results

If it tells you to be updated, then it should be enough to update the unit.
What Spirit Settings software do you have?

Actually it look like there is no issue. Only same version of Spirit Settings and Spirit firmware is required.

what i am saying is that everything works with older spirit but not the pro
software is the latest /but since updating the pro it will no longer connect
defiantly an issue with the unit,

ok lets brake it down again
1)the interface will connect to older spirit unit
2)so that means interface is working
3)software is updated to the latest
4)driver is installed
5)coms port 1
6)will not connect to spirit pro,
i feel there is an issue with the firmware instalation when we first connected the pro and updated it
we also updated the geolink at the same time and this will not connect as well
tried it on another pro that is working and the geo link doesnt work,
the firmware hung at the end of update when we first connected and i feel this has caused the issue,
now nothing,
when you first connect the power the led slowly flashes and then changes to constant
so that seems to be ok,
maybe when we updated the geolink after updating the pro is the problem
the update hung at the end,
maybe this has corupted the firmware in the pro

From what you have written you can see message about Firmware/software version and that you have to update it, am I right?

The only thing you have to check is what Spirit Settings software version you are running. You can see it at the window label.
Next thing is firmware version in the unit - this is written in the Connection tab near the Serial number.

If you know these two things you know immediately why it can't work. You can't use for example firmware 2.5.0 and software 2.6.0. It must be always same version.
It is likely working with your other unit because it has firmware compatible with software you have installed.

So smaller number version needs to be updated to the latest one.

Can you check these two versions, please? I will tell you what to do. The steps are pretty easy so that it is solved within minute. Basically software is telling you what to do as there are also links for downloads.

Sorry but you seem to be confused

computer and interface work when plugged into older spirit and just says that unit needs updating
ALL GOOD

computer has latest software and driver

plug into spirit pro and the unit slowly flashes and then goes solid
then no connection
it is as i said there is something wrong inside the unit that wont allow it to connect
i have sent photos and video to Thomas for him to look at

I am afraid but it is needed to ship the unit to us in that case.
The unit was likely damaged somehow. Unfortunately without inspection we can't find what happened.

But we will check and repair the unit within one day.

Sometime pilot forget that he enabled Kontronik telemetry, which temporarily disable SYS port. Then connection is possible only when radio is off.

Was the Kontronik telemetry enabled?

Hello,

i have the same problem.I cant connect to my two spirits. I have spirit pro and spirit 2.
I have both updated to 3.3.0 software and first the frsky telemetry does not working with Fm-FRSKY 2.1.7 receiver.
Then i am go back to 3.2.0 and now i cant connect to both my spirits.
What does i wrong now?
The spirit 2 flashes and the pro lights only the red led.



Would it bring anything with the older software to connect to?
