I have been trying to tune my spirit unit in on my 250 and have noticed that during fast forward flight I get porpoising. Is there a setting in the spirit unit that could cause this. Could it be that my cyclic gain is to high? Thanks.

Yes, it could be the problem.
Also do you have flybarless lades on the helicopter?

I am assuming that they are. They are the original blades that came in the kit. It is a trex250 DFC Plus.

Great, make sure that frequency for the cyclic servos is not higher than 200Hz.
Pithup Compensation in the Advanced tab can be configured to 0. You can start with Cyclic Gain value around 40-50%.
