Hi,
even if I still do not have the FBL unit (I am waiting for availability...) I wonder if I could use an existing "Tarot ZYX-S Futaba S-Bus receiver cable" for my Futaba RX?
Regards, Alexander

Hi,
yes, you can. But if your helicopter is 500+ size, I recommend to examine it without shrink tube, that PCB can handle higher currents.

Hm, that means power will be transferred over this adaptor. I meant there was a discussion regarding direct power to the FBL unit? No sure anymore about that... Anyway, is your adaptor capable for more power?

Yes, you can transfer power through this cable. Our cable can transfer same current as direct cable, so it can be used without any issue.

Just to understand: Does that mean there are direct connections for plus and minus between RX and FBL unit to bypass the main power? And just some little power is taken from a junction for the electronic circuit to transform the signal? Then the diameter of the cable and a solder joint would be the only limiting elements for the power transfer.

If using the Tarot cable I will highly recommend putting power directly into the FBL and not into the Rx. My G570 crashed due to a tarot cable failing from too much current draw. I had 1 power source into the FBL and 1 into the Rx and still blew the cable.

Thank you for posting your experience!
I have had a closer look at the inside of the Tarot adaptor and found that the cable really is little. Soldering bigger cable is not possible due the soldering holes only fit for little cable. If you want to use bigger cable the only way is to solder them on the surface of the circuit board. Also you should use a cabled bridge to link the inside to the outside for the power. The printed link on the board is way to poor for higher current.
I will not risk my Heli saving on such a little priced item...
