Calibration can be done in the very same way as per their ESC manual. However if it is new ESC, you will rather not need calibration at all.
If the ESC is connected directly to the Spirit unit then the only thing you will need is to assign Throttle output to Channel 1.
I dont know what is your Spirit unit or wiring or receiver so it is hard to help more.
I used a separate BEC, but turned off the BEC in the ESC, leaving only the signal cable. Otherwise, the ESC starts before it can enter the calibration mode.
I have Spirit GT, now the ESC cable is plugged into the AUX1 connector, Throttle output to Channel 1, ESC is not new, used.
