Hi,
I've carried out an update from 3.5.0 to 3.6.1 as I use to for 10 years now (spirit red box) and for the first time, it went wrong and hung during the flashing. Thus SPIRIT was bricked but I eventually succeed to bring it back to life in using the recovery mode. On the Heli, everything is OK again.
However, a problem remains with the settings programm (my PC is Win Pro 10) as it is unable neither to read nor to write a file pretending to have no access to the HD. More disturbing, it is unable to save or load configuration files (***.4ds). Opening the settings.exe as an admin as advised by the message did not work. The messages I got are here joined.
Any explanation or help will be much appreciated.

Hello,
it look like the problem is in special characters of your account and directories. We will check what could be wrong.

It very well could be. Tks in advance for your support. On my side, I will give a try in installing Spirit's settings program anywhere else in a non specific character labelled directory, just to see.

Changing program location will not help, but choosing different location for saving the files will help.

Spot on. I succeed in saving files in a non specific character labelled directory. This reinforces your hypothesis. Unfortunately, as you likely know, changing the name of my user admin directory is not that easy.
I had never encountered such a problem before 3.6.1

No problem, Dr. Spirit, it’s not an emergency.
Still, I thank you very much for your efforts in such unpleasant times for you. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
