There are two options to adjust Spirit "Rudder Gain". The most common option seems to be to assign Gyro Gain to channel 5 in the Spirit initial setup Wizard, and then adjust this "Rudder Gain" through the radio's (Jeti in this case) Gyro Gain. Another option is to NOT assign the Spirit "Gyro Gain" to any channel, and just adjust this "Rudder Gain" via either the Spirit computer software or via the radio integration. I am thinking that this latter option would have the advantage of having the "Rudder Gain" hardcoded within the Spirit unit, which may theoretically offer an advantage in computational speed with less latency delay compared to having this "Rudder Gain" assigned to a radio channel which constantly feeds this "Gyro Gain" onto the Spirit unit. Since the Jeti radio integrates well with the Spirit unit, the pilot still has the ability to adjust the "Rudder Gain" via the radio. This option may also be helpful to pilots with 6 channel radio where this method would free a channel.

What is the advantage of having a dedicated Jeti radio channel (Gyro channel) to adjust the "Spirit Rudder Gain" when this can also be alternatively accomplished via the Spirit integration?

No lattency delay will occur fortunately in any case. It is also hardcoded in your radio, so it does not matter.
Usually channels are holding steady value when signal transmission is digital.

Advantage of default settings is that you can change the Gain by channel instantly without opening any integration. Which works with any radio. And also all common (tail) gyros were and are set in this way for years. You should never tune a parameters in the integration menu while flying. With default settings you can change gain at any moment when flying, which is also common because model can change head speed often.
