I upgraded my Spirit 2 to 3.2 and few days after it came out. I took it out yesterday and the RTH feature was not working. I reconfigured the RTH with the blade tilting but when i engaged the RTH it was just staying there...
I upgraded my other heli with the same setup and RTH works.

I kept the battery on and went thrue the logs and saw these errors. In the wndows menu i was seng the programmed position. As a precaution, i changed the wirefrom spirit 2 to Geolink .. no change... i then tried to flash it and had to use the connect disconnect flash option to flash it.

This morning turned it on, went outside to get the blue light to turn on on geolink and in the wndows menu i saw the programmed position and "my position"... but still i have the errors.

I added 2 files, one is where geolink is located on the SAB buddy and the second is the PDF with the latest log...

I am clueless about next steps. Is it normal to have these 2 messages ? i really use the RTH features when i fly.

Hi Thomas,

Anything i should do ? Is they’re a debug feature ?

I taught about redoing the Geolink compass calibration ? Before this version i was not seing these errors that often.

Hi,

the errors might come from programming the RTH position.

Are you programming it for all banks or only single bank?
Can you try to not program it and check if some error will be in the flight log?
It might be not an issue at all if it is not happening on its own, especailly not during flight.

Instead of RTH programming you can use position that is automatically programmed before lift off. There no programming with switch is needed.

Hi Thomas,

i am using another helicopter for the testing and loging analysis, they have both SRXL2 and Spirit 2 + Geolink configuration.

Here are 3 flights logfile. When a flight was finished, i kept the battery on and connected the windows 10 PC to the spirit and pressed the open log button. You mentionned it could happen with RTH position configuration but it is not configured every time i fly from the same site in the back of my home...

3 functions where trigered - used in these logs: 1:RTH and 2:Altitude limit . I just added the 3:Geo-fence and configured it in the windows interface.
While i am writing this, i must tell you i did not not look at the logs very often. The reason i looked is RTH was not working after the 3.2 upgrade (maybe not related ??) and i posted the message when i saw the "corrupted and broken". The Spirit2 was upgraded but no reflash the geolink code was done (same version). Should i have done the geolink reflash ?

I am ading as well 2 pictures of the geolink placement with the Spirit Geolink bracket on the Fireball Havok. I did use the 3 functions and they have worked well during the flight... Just the message that makes me nervous..

Thanks for the support i must say Spirit and Geolink have saved me a lot of repair money and enables me to push more on getting better.

Thomas,

i just had a taught... Can the error be generated when i activate or deactivate the altitude limit or the Geofencing limit OR RTH ?

I will go and try a flight and try to write the time down... when i make the changes a few times during the flight...

I did 2 flights with a Fireball and a Hobbywing ESC.

In the 2 flights, theyre where 3 corrupt messages :
-first was when i turned the motor on
-second when i turned the motor off
-third was 10 seconds before the last entry

So it seems related to the motor being turned on and off ... maybe a current spike that could affect the Geolink ?

I will need to test on the Buddy, my ESC is a YGE so a different config for the ESC..

Hello,

when there are around 3 messages from Corrupted data it is not problem at all.
Each few miliseconds data are being sent and it is checking all the data.

Only if there would be multiple rows of corrupted data then it could be an issue.

On the other hand GeoLink Broken connection is problem, this should normally not happen during flight. But now it is not present.

Thanks Thomas,

i understand the limited number of errors are acceptable. I tried today and the error appears with the motor turned on and off.

Keep up the great work !
