What's the process for calibrating the current sensor telemetry from a Hobbywing Platinum Pro V4 80A and OpenTx 2.3.6 ?
On the OpenTx telem screen, the current (Amps) value changes between 17.xx amps and 23.xx amps. It's jumping around wildly, with no consistent value. It updates every half a second.
My current clamp, attached to the battery, is reading a perfectly steady 21.17 Amps, with the heli on the ground, blades on, spooled up.
So i need to know how to set up the radio so that the values are consistent.

The best is to calculate depending on consumed capacity. What you will read from the telemetry after flight and then what you will read after charging.

So there is no need to calibrate the live current reading? I thought that was how the consumed consumption was calculated.
I've going through packs on the ground trying to guess what the current consumption offset should be to get a reasonably consistent value that matches the recharged mAh. At the moment RB1A Offset is set to 5A which gives me a radio calculated consumed of 1000mAh and an actual consumed when recharged of 2100mAh, so this value is still too low, i'll try 10A next. RB1V is correct when a full pack is connected.

There should be no offset configured.
Only I-Motor Shunt value should be changed so that charged/consumed capacity will match.
