Hi Tomas,
I have probems with connecting ySpirit with FrSky receiver.
I have a Goblin 570 with spirit pro and geo link and a Futaba receiver it works very fine.
But now i wanted to install a goblin Kraken with spirit pro and a FrySky receiver becaouse of the advanteges of programming spirit on the FrSky sender.
But I wanted to test this system with a TRex 250 but with a new hobbiwing controller with telemetrie data.
So i took this setup. I have a T-Rex 250 heli with „Hobbywing Platinum 25A V4 3-6S Brushless Controller with BEC“, FrSky Rx4R Receiver and the ySpirit Stabi. Board Voltage is adjusted with 7,4 Volt.
The ySpirit worked for 5-6 hours. I had connection with the USB cable i changed parameters. I adjusted the channels. But sometimes i got a messeage from the sender that the telemetrie connection is broken. And after a few seconds i got the message the telemetrie connection is ok.
The wiring at that moment was this. You can see the connections on the added picture, but AUX was Not connected.
CH1 – 4 are connected with the servos. SYS is connected with the Spirit USB cable AUX was free RUD was connected with +- from FrSky receiver (red/black) and with the white wire „S-Bus out“. P/E/A was not connected SAT was not connected
The throttle cable from the controller was connected on CH3 from the receiver.
With this wiring i got connection with the Spirit Software and with the sender i could move the servos.
So far so good.
But later i wanted to connect the programming cable from Hobbywing controller for the telemetry data with the SAT port of the ySpirit. And i connected the CH1 from FrSky with the AUX port oft he ySpirit for a better powersupply.
I don‘t know after which from the two connection the stabi showed no reaction, because ich had mounted the stabi inside the heli, and i couldn’t see the status led. I recognised that i got no connection with the Software on the SYS-Port. Then i opend the heli frame and i saw that the status led was dead.
The powersupply from the BEC is ok. Status LED on FrSky is on and the motor is running if the sender gives the throttle signal an CH3 to the receiver.
Do you have a guess what could have gone wrong and how we can solve the problem.

Hello,
this is very sad, but I am sure we can resolve the problem.
Please verify Status LED of the unit. Is there any activity? If no, can you see if there is at least a short flash of the LED exactly during battery connection?
If no, then unfortunately it will be necessary to ship the unit to us. We can repair it in one day. If there was nothing wrong plugged then it will be for free. But at the moment we can't say where the problem was.
From your description connection was good. But I can't find any information about how you have connected FrSky integration cable. Can you describe how and where it was connected? Was something connected at the S.Port in the receiver? Without this connection telemetry can't be displayed.

Hello,
1) Status Led The Status LED is always dark. But when I connect the battery and disconnect the battery every 4-6 attempt, the servos move for a short moment.
2) FrSky cable I didn't use the FrSky integration cable, because the RX4R Receiver has other contacts as the X4R in your description. I have only connected the S-Bus Out (White wire) pin from the receiver with the signal pin from the rud port of the ySpirit stabi. I thought this is the s-port pin.
3) Powersupply I also connected the "+/-" Pins from the receiver with the "+/-" Pins or the RUD port. So I have the powersupply over the throttle cable to the Receiver and over the "+-"-Port from the receiver to the ySpirit. With the cable CH1 from receiver to AUX port, I thought i get a second connection for more safety.
4) Telemetry I thought it would work the same way as with spirit pro and Hobbywing 130A Controller. There i have only connected the program port with the telemetry cable, because of the format of the SAT port connector on spirit pro. So I connected only the program cable of the Hobbywing ESC 25A directly with the SAT port of the ySpirit.
5) Please give me the right connection suggestion for my devices (ySpirit, FrSky RX4R and ESC HW 25A). I hope I'm not totaly wong with my wiring.
6) Has your FrSky Integration cable or your telemetry cable or your S-Bus Adapter cable an electrical circuit or system unterneath the shrink tubing installed? Or serve the cables only the right connectors for the different formats. In other words are they only Adapter or do they serve an electronic function.
7) I have added the manuals of HW and RX4R for better undersatnding of the pins.
best regards

Hello Tomas,
I made an new attempt to connect the HW programming cable with the sat port directly. When i do this for a short time the ySpirit gets warm. So I think this connection is the reason for the defect of the ySpirit.
After that i tried to connect the WiFi Adapter to the programming of HW. And i tried to get Connection with the HW App by WiFi. It worked so the programming port is not defect it works normaly.
best regards

When you plug in the ESC programming cable to the SAT port, are you leaving the red wire attached? I know you said you had the telemetry cable, but just double checking. This is from the following website: http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... etry_Cable

Hello Tomas,
now we have the reason for the defect.
I used a standard servo cable and an adapter servo to Molex connector, so the red wire was connected. I have this Telemetrie cable but i did not use it.
Is it possible to repair the ySpirit or should I buy a new one.
Please give me the correct wiring for my components.
RX4R Receiver, HW 25A ESC und ySpirit as I asked before.
best regards

Hello,
you are right, cable unfortunately damaged the unit. You have to disconnect red wire, then it will work.
Telem UNI cable is what you need. Or modified JST-Rx cable.
