 Post subject: HoTT cable - homemade?

Just wanted to verify: Is the Hott cable as simple to make as it appears from the photo? Could I just make one of these at home or is there something else going on that would make this unadvisable?

(I know it is recommended for some of the adapter cables to not attempt to build them as an incorrect connection could damage the unit)
