Another question before my buddy switches over.
He is running a DX6G3 and would like to have a bank with Stabilization Normal & one for non Stabilized flight + rescue. I played with the software in demo mode a bit and it seems if I unassigned the Gyro Gain control from channel 5 and put Bank Switching on 5 I can activate the Stabi Function with negative Rudder Gain in the Sensor tab just like you can if you send negative from the TX. That being said, would this be the proper setup?
General / Receiver / Channels Gyro Gain - Unassigned Bank - 5. Channel
Sensor / Rudder Gain (actual gain value obviously will need tuning) Bank0 50% Bank1 -50% Bank2 -50%
Stabi / Function Bank0 - Disabled Bank1 - Stabilization (Normal) Bank2 - Rescue (Normal)
At which point the TX will need to be setup with a switch for 2 banks (Disabled & Stabi (Normal)) and a mix for a second "Rescue" switch to activate the the 3rd (Bank2) no matter where the other bank switch is. This I can already work out.
Am I headed in the right direction for a 6 channel user that wants Stabilization, Non-Stabilization & Rescue all available from TX?

You are absolutely right. This is way how you can program it. So with one switch you can change between 3 modes anytime you want.
