Hi, need some details please ?

1. What is the effect of changing the "Throttle Frequency" and what is the recommended setting (for nitro) ?

2. What is the purpose of the "Max Head Speed" field ?

Hello,

you want to configure Throttle Frequency to the frequency of your Throttle Servo. So the highest possible.
Purpose of the Max. Head Speed parameter is to determine Max. Head Speed, so for 100% TC you will get this RPM.

You can see both answers in the manual and in the software by moving the cursor at the parameters.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Please allow me to rephrase the questions :

1. Does the frequency of the throttle servo affect the functioning of the governor in a noticeable manner ? Does it have enough of an effect that it is worth using a 333Hz servo, instead of a 200Hz one ?

2. Spirit knows the throttle range, gearing and the RPM. Why is it needed to set the Max headspeed ? If it was to set a "not to exceed" RPM, I would understand, and if the governor was still allowed to use the full throttle range, it would be useful. However, if my understanding is correct, setting this lower than the actual max, limits the throttle travel. So what is the need ?

1. Yes, as described in the manual, frequency affects governor performance in noticeable way. It is very same as when you try to set 50Hz instead of 333Hz on the rudder servo. You will feel difference immediately.
2. You really can't determine what head speed range pilot want to use from gear ratio and other settings.
There are so many different motors that it can be range for example 1500-2000 RPM but also 1500 - 4500 RPM for very same gear settings.

Just for informatation would you use the 200hz setting for a servo rated at 165hz?
