Post subject:  Spirit pro in Raptor 90SE FBL

Hi All,

Have recently changed from a Brain to Spirit in my Raptor 90SE (Gforce FBL head, no CCPM conversion) following a tail drive failure and resulting crash and rebuild (whilst the brain wasn't the cause - it took a fairly hard hit so I chose the well reported Spirit FBL as a replacement)

I've yet to fly the rappy yet following the rebuild, I'm happy with the setup of the Spirit FBL unit, just wondering if there are any specific tuning settings applicable to mechanical mixing helis ?

Setup is the Heli (obviously), RADIX 710mm FBL blades, radix 105mm tails, hitec 5565MH cyclic servos (0.09s/14kg), Hitec 8315BH tail servo (0.04s/5.3kg), OS 91 Speed 3C/Hatori pipe

Flying style - more scale-like, some Aeros, no 3D

Thanks

John

Hi,

if there is no CCPM mixing, then you do not forget to select CCPM 90 swashplate type.
Later once the setup is finished in the Advaced tab you can increase Pirouette Consistency at 175. Rudder Delay can be configured to 0.
This could be good for the beginning.

No other special tuning is required.

Thanks for the reply - yes already setup, ccpm 90, everything is working as it should on the bench, was just thinking because it is single serving for each cyclic / control axis then there might slightly different gains/settings needed, sine there is nothing comparable to initially select in the setup wizzard.
Thanks again

Great.
With default cyclic gain it should work well with basically any helicopter.
You will need to tune Rudder Gain for sure. But 50% in your radio should be fine for maiden.
